What is your weight loss story, when did you realize it was time to shed the extra pounds?
I am currently 145…and would like to get down to 127 which is the recommended weight for my height., 5’0″. So far I’ve lost 9lbs in 5weeks. I want to lose the remainder of the weight by May. I love to read real weight loss stories because they seem to inspire me. Care to share? How long did it take? What was it like? How much did you lose? What did you do?


Well ive bee over over weight my entire life, and not just slightly like for 5’4 your considered over weight at 145 pounds i was tipping 300 pounds at 17. i was about to go off to college and i was over weight, i looked terrible, i felt terrible and my health was terrible. I think i first started looking into weight loss when i was about 298 and i was horrified by 300 so i started working out and eating only 500 calories a day. i lost about 50 pounds in 1 month and a half. i was alwyas tired and drowsy and moody though. one day after having a bad day at school i came home and binged for 4 days. i quit exercising i quit eating healthy and i just ate. well after a month i gained back around 30 of the pounds i lost and felt terrible once again. it was still 20 pounds lighter than i had begun but itwas 30 pounds heavier from what i acheived…..
After that i really started doing my research on weight loss, fitness, nutrition and how the body work according to calories and exercise. I realized that what i had been doing was wrong. i had starved and deprived my body of its essential nutrients and that why i had gained so much weight back. I joined a gym and worked with a trainer for a few months really learning about what to eat and when to eat and learning fat torching cardio moves and slimming strength moves but i get tired of being told what to do so i eventually dropped my trainer and went on my own.
Ever since then ive never has a mess up or binge or signifagant weight gain. 2 years later now i have lost about 180 pounds and weight around 120-125. I walk everyday do cardio 6x a week and i’m in trainign for my first marathon. I never used any special program (except for the trainer i had for 3 months) never had anyone have to deliver food to my house or had to spend money on weight loss plans that did work But i got to my goal with pure self motivation and self control.
