okay so right now i’m 16 (i’ll be 17 in february), 5’2” and 145 pounds. according to my doctor, i should weigh about 115 just because i’m at risk for a whole bunch of heart problems and diabetes and stuff thanks to heredity. i’d like to get down to this weight as soon as possible, but i don’t know where to start.
i’m thinking about starting off with the “hollywood diet”, which is basically a juice detox diet where you drink a mixture or orange juice, lemon juice, grape juice, a banana, an apple and honey and you also drink lots and lots of water. the detox only lasts 2 days, so i won’t be like starving myself for weeks. i’ll also be taking a multivitamin every morning just to be sure that i’m getting all the nutrients i need. is this a good way to start a diet? how much weight do you think i’ll lose? (the website claims you’ll lose up to 10 pounds in 2 days, but i dont really think that’s true)
after i do the detox (if i do it), what are some tips for eating healthy. i know to like stay away from junk food and not drink soda and stuff, but like, what should i eat? i’m a vegan, so i’ll have to get all my protein from soy products and stuff…so just, what are some of the things i should be eating and what should i stay away from? should i try a low-carb diet like South Beach or no?
as for exercising, i have a treadmill, elliptical, stair climber, bowflex and free weights. what types of exercise should i be doing and for how long? what kind of exercise will burn the most fat? also, what are some good toning exercises for my triceps, abs, thighs and butt?

Amphetamines (NOT methamphetamines) work great. They make you loose your appetite. When I used to take amphetamine capsules for my ADHD, i lost alot of weight (which is why i switched to something else
)
i dont know if they offer amphetamine for the purpose of weight loss, but it works, and its definatly worth asking about.
WARNING. dont abuse amphetamine. it can be highly addictive. do as doctor/pharmacist instructs, that is, if they give you amphetamine for weightloss

cardio exercise and eating breakfast fruits, whole grain cereals and egg-white are great options help boost metabolism which help lose weight faster & burn more calories
stay way from junk food, fries
Do 30 minutes of cardio training [dancing, jogging, aerobics, yoga , running, bicycle, swimming, kick boxing ... ] and 30 minutes of strength train [weights, arms, abs, legs workout and stretches]
workout 3-6 times on week. 30min or 1-2 hours
# Walk 30 minutes a day – no excuses
# dont set watch TV or computer more than 2 hours stay active.
# Be aware when you eating dont eat front TV, Eat when you are hungry & eat slowly
# Restock your kitchen with healthy food
# dont skip meals eat every 4 hours
# Eat when you are hungry & eat slowly
# Reduce portions by using smaller plates & bowls (9 inch diameter instead of 11+ inch)
# Eat 9 handfuls of vegetables more than fruits each day
also eat 1 small handful nuts

I’m trying to loose weight. I am 200 lb, about 6′ tall, 25 years old. I love to eat meat, cheese, BBQ, things like that. I went through a spurt in my life (when my girlfriend moved in with me), where we were in a blissful love. We were in perfect shape. We ate whatever we wanted – we had money – we didn’t exercise and just enjoyed ourselves. BAM! Wake up call. I gained 30 lbs!! Basically in 2 years. Now I am trying to loose it. I am disappointed in myself, and frustrated because losing it is harder than gaining it, lol.
I started the “P90X” program, and have noticed good muscle growth, but my life got busy and I started missing days – pretty disappointed in that. I’ve still been running, playing tennis, weight lifting and doing P90X exercise programs as often as possible.
At the same time – I need to change how I eat.
I’ve been making myself TONS of fresh fruit smoothies. Usually orange, bananas, grapes, grapefruit, carrots, sometimes low fat yogurt (not too much), water and ice (I know, same thing). Is this a good meal replacement? Instead of lunch, I eat drink a smoothie. Sometimes 2. Eeek, sometimes 3! I drink until I am filled. Sounds bad to me, but I used to eat chips, or pizza or something until I was filled, so this has got to be better right?
Any tips? I’ve found that these fruit smoothies are the only thing I actually enjoy as a replacement.
I can’t believe at 25, I am having these problems. I feel like it was last month that my stomach was flat. ![]()
By the way – these are homemade smoothies – not store bought. I know exactly what goes into them.

You and the rest of the world are having trouble with weight loss. Dont worry its extremly commen to hear about people wanting to lose weight, with all these fast-food joints and juck food its hard to say no. But some times you have to think about the future and what your going to look like and how your healths going to be in 10 years.
I cant really relate to you to much. Im a 16 year old that has been working out and lifting for three years now and living a really clean and healthy life for the past two years. I never was really fat but i kinda remeber my friends always making some jokes about my ” belly ” so I guess i kinda know how you feel, not saying people make jokes about you. ps.. i have a 6 pack now:)
I am actully a graduate of p90x and p90x+, totallying 6 months of bechbody. You might think im to intence for my own being or Im an animal but what i really do is keep my mind stright. Thats actuly my favourt saying. So what i mean is before you work out think of things you want, such as losing the 30 lbs or even maybe some day having a six pack or a flat toned belly or even imagine people saying ” wow, you look good, you lose weight? ” just things like that that help with the mind, the most important part of working out. So we talked about the mind lets talk about one of my other little trick/tips. Another one is get a work out with a partner, so you can get them to push you when your lacking off and you can also push them when there lacking off, plus i love showing off! So for your self and everyone around you just start the p90x video set, and push ur hardest because in 3 months you will get a high of self accomplishment, best feeling ever!!
So I have covered the training lets talk about your question about the smoothie. What you put in your smoothies makes me wanna go make one! Your smoothies sound Yummie with ingredients that will get you all your vitamins and minerals and more. Are they a meal replacement? To me it sure does becuase its just like eating fruit plain, just make sure your eating around every three hours of clean food so your body burns your calories to lose the weight and not trying to take the energy from the muscel because you dont have enough food, which isent good! You could also find a weight loss calculator that will help you lose weight and eat the right amount of calories (link at the bottom).

i need to loose like 30-40lbs… i hate myself…and i want to do something about it.. i live in an apartment building on the 3rd floor so noise is a factor too..i also have no money for expensive equipment. but will but smaller items if they will help..i also live in a studio so i do not have alot of room…i am very insercure about my weight and will sometimes walk but feel weird running.. so i was wondering if anyone had any tips to help me get started in my apartment..a kick start to get a lil better in shape so i can work my way up to a better work out.. overall i need to loose weight…in my arms..stomache and legs..all of it..i use to b active and i dont know wat happened but i am so unmotivated..about everything in my life right now and i think this is a good place to start changing my life.. i work mon-friday 12-9 so i have mornings now.. and weekend i usually work 9-8 i do get 2 full days off as well….and would like to build a plan..thank u for your help!!

Can you eat too much pasta? fitness tips?exercise?
i find it hard to think of meals to cook that will feel me up, and i am eating alot of rise and pasta and this seems to satisfy me, as i get very hungry due to doing the dance aerobics 50mins 5 days a week.
is there such thing as eating too much pasta/rice???? i seem to have it every day or if not every other day..

p.s i have been changing the things i eat cutting out fatty stuff and sugars etc, and doing the exercises above for 2 weeks now. In the first week i lost half a stone and an inch off my waist. Now at the end of the second week and nothing else has come off, just stayong around 11st, i started off at 11 and a half. please help, why is this???

however i have been getting an aching pain down the front bone on the bottom part of my leg, i also got cramp in my calf and it stopped me from pushing further. its frustrating as i want to push myself anf i had to stop, this has happen a few times now. is it normal to ache like that, maybe because my body isnt used to the exercise…

If i exercise, and only eat a fruits and vegetables every day for a month?
How much weight will i loose in one month, this is only because im doing photography shots for my boyfriend for christmas and i want to drop some pounds…. im cutting most food out please dont explain how my body will go in starvation mode and stuff like that its not like im doing it for ever im doing this for quick weight loss for photos and i dont have much time till the 20th of december
i have these exercises ive already been doing every day
30minutes of Cardio
40minutes of Abs and Arms toning
another
15minutes of just abs workout.
im also thinken of eating oatmeal?

Questions about working out.?
Okay, Right now I weigh about 140 lbs and I am 5’6. Im not fat, just average. I have fat on my stomach, some arm flab, and chubby thighs. My goal weight is 120-125 lbs. Right now I’m on a diet where I am cutting down portions and avoiding eating when Im bored (which is alot haha). Now I dont exercise alot but Im afraid if I just diet, I’ll lose all this weight but be stuck with loose skin. However, I dont have a gym membership and I dont like going around my neighborhood to run. Is there any cardio that I can do at home that is kindof like running?
My next question is can you just do ab, leg, and arm workouts without cardio? If I just did specific exercise targeting my prblem areas instead of burning fat throughout my body, will my already existing fat turn into muscle and make me look thick? I want to look slim and not like a beefy person.
So basically is there any cardio I can do at home that works out my whole body? and can I do core training without cardio or will that make add muscle to my fat?

hey aly. well I used to snack on food all the time, even when I wasnt hungry. Eating just gave me something to do and I love food too. I hate diets because you have to cut so much stuff out but Im on a moderation diet. I eat everything I want but not as much. For example I normally eat 3 slices of pizza. Now after I eat one, I ask myself if Im full and satisfied. If Im not i take half of a pizza and ask myself if im full again. Normally I am by this point. People overeat because they are enjoying the food so much that they dont give time for your stomach to tell you if your full.
As for not eating when Im bored, its still hard but lately I just sleep alot and when I am bored or just have to eat something Ill just cut up apples into many pieces or I’ll eat 1/2 cup of icecream with that apple to really satisfy my boredom or hunger. hope my adive can help you. good luck
