I am curious to know what people think of my workout I am doing, and My approach to getting back into shape.?
Just wondering what people think of this workout? Will it help me reach my goals? An wondering if I am doing anything Big Time Wrong.
I am 32 years old 68.5 Inches tall and float from 220-225 lbs. I used to be in great shape when I was in the military. I could run 10 miles and although I was never a monster I could lift weight that was impressive for someone my size. Normally about 165lbs. I left the Military and have really let myself go. I have tried a few times to back in shape. I used to Run 3 miles 3 days a week. Though I felt good. I still looked chubby, I had no muscle tone except in my legs. Got Down to about 198, But to go any further I had follow a strict diet
I tried P90X, Great program, and I seen great results for the 30 days I stuck with it. I work 12 hr days. I don’t have time for a 75-90 Min Workout 6 days a week. Not to mention meal preparation took an hour a day.
Currently my short term goals (3 months) is regain some sort of a physique and feel like I am getting my strength back. 200lbs. Would be great Though 205-210 is more realistic. Lastly prepare my body to lift heavy again. I really want to take my time and do this right.
With a year I hope to be close to former self. About 185 with the immediate appearance of someone who is physicly fit. I would also would like to be able to pass the ARMY PT test since I am considering joining the Army National Guard. I miss the military and am only 12 years from retirment. Though I have to good of a job to go back on active duty. So the Guard is most logical choice. Which Means 2 Mile Run Max time 17:42, 36 Push Ups in 2 Min and 42 Sit Ups. I need to Make either 179lbs or 24% Body Fat.
I was looking for something I would not get burned out on, short and to the point. After looking around I modeled this workout of something I had seen on askmen.com
I plan on doing this workout for about 3 months. Currently I am in the Third week.
I workout Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.
I all weight training is three sets per muscle group. 15, 12, 10 Reps.
Monday -Chest and Back 40 Min 30 min Swim or 20 Min Run
Bench Press
Dumbell Rows
Incline Dumbell Press
Assisted Pull Ups
Machine Fly’s
Hyper Extensions
Wednesday- Shoulders and Legs 40 Min, 30 min Swim or 20 Min Run
Shoulder Press
Squats
Machine Lateral Raise
Machine Hamstring Curl
Dumbbell Shoulder Shrugs
Machine Calf Raises
Friday- Bi’s and Tri’s
Straight Bar Curl
Cable Tricep Extension
Single Arm Preacher Curl
One Arm Tricep Extension
Concentration Curls
Assissted Dips
I do a Ten Min Ab workout. Nothing set in stone.
I am not following a strict diet. Just cutting out the junk atm.
Lastly I am taking a good Multi Vitamin. Though I have been out of the game so long any supplement Ideas would be helpful.

Ladies, help! Did I get fat or just thick?
I’m 22 y/o, 5’2 and weigh about 115-120 lbs. I’m short but have a “thin” physique w. a chubby tummy (haha). I’m not stick skinny nor do I have a body of a 12 yr old. All my life I’ve had the “fast metabolism” gene and now i’m noticing that everything I eat, will show on my body. My thighs and butt are suddenly just BIG – the size of it and it’s not completely fat either. it’s like…they just grew somehow. I have been working out and toning and it has been shrinking a bit but the size and shape are completely different than before. My thighs now made my old thighs look like a 10 yr old. Right now my workouts are swimming aerobics, quick cardio (fr. workouts on tv), and ab, booty workouts. I eat 6 small meals a day and increased my protein intake. I’m happy w. my weight and my current workouts have been decreasing my stomach and have been shaping my body to my right size. Right now, it’s flat but not yet lean. I noticed that my waist is also bigger. I was normally at a 25 and now i’m at a 27. The jeans I bought last year were a size 2-3 and now it went up. I feel like most of my bottoms don’t fit bc of my BUTT and thighs. My size small skirts don’t even fit – i have to go to a medium. My non cotton shirts don’t even fit that well anymore (originally size small, now medium) and i’m a 34b (is and always was). My boobs didn’t grow. My hips are big, waist is smaller (but not tiny), my butt is big…I’m not complaining but…
…What happened? Puberty Part 2 during the adult years?
(I was wearing shorts and t-shirt tucked in. In the mirror, I looked “wide” but I’m not fat at all….I have the average boob size and I do have a butt but…my body type is definitely changing)
I think I figured it out…my stomach got wide
….it’s flat but not completely lean
