I have been through it all and know what’s it about. The main thing is to stick in there. You can’t be an addict to food and never exercise if you want to live a healthy life and keep the weight off. I’ve worked out, done every diet, and all types of classes.
Nothing works, besides dedication and intelligence towards the subject of losing weight.
First, depending on how much weight you need to lose, your diet is the first concern. You can’t eat 10,000 calories a day and expect the weight to come off, even if you are exercising a lot. Which brings us to the next thing. Duh, Exercising…
This is a must especially if you need to a lot of weight. Get at least 30 mins of some good hardcore exercising. Do some cardio, in the long run, it’s good for the heart.
However, I find the most hardest part of losing weight/keeping it off, in my diet. It’s so hard to keep your fingers out of the cookie jar or those chocolate goodies. I’ve found a great addition to help any one out, it’s a natural weight loss supplement called Proactol. Now don’t get all crazy on me and say diet pills don’t work. That is true, but not in this case. This one isn’t meant to burn pounds while you sit on the couch. It’s an appetite suppressant, along with being a fat binder. I saved money on the pills at theweightlossplace .com along with getting some good info. It basically makes those fingers not go towards the cookie jar. For me it’s the best pill I’ve tried and I’ve tried cupboards full. Now this doesn’t mean you have to follow my foot steps but I’ve successfully lost roughly 70 pounds and keeping it off til this day.

Weight Loss “Before and After” – what about IN BETWEEN?
It’s taken me 2 yrs to shed off about 20lbs pounds & I’ve hit the plateau .. I’m not here to ask anyone how to get past this phase. There’s enuff info abt it online. & because of focus on biology revolving around weight loss, the psychological aspects are overlooked.
I feel overwhelmed by my own success. Since the age of 8 or 9, I thought I was fat when I wasn’t – I am 24 now & no longer overweight. I always had a poor body image & poor eating habits. I was unatheletic. Now I work out & love it! I don’t criticize myself anymore either. Suddenly, there’s a part of me that is really scared to keep going on. Even working out is beginning to overwhelm me. I keep thinking how me? How did I achieve what I’ve been dreaming to all my life?
2 years ago, I would eat junk food all the time. I don’t anymore. Breaking old eating habits has taken a while, but sometimes in the middle of the night, I wonder where did that girl go away? The one who just wanted to eat all the time?& I head towards the kitchen when I’m not even hungry or craving food. Why am I so scared of being the best that I can be?

Hi. I’m 13 and I am a competitive swimmer. I am 107 pounds and a little over 5’1. I attend practice 2 hours a day, 5 days a week. Whenever i ask a question about food or something on here, i ALWAYS get answers like “don’t worry! your a swimmer, you can eat whatever you want as long as your exercising.” or “enjoy your fast metabolism” but i personally disagree with these. I HAVE to watch what i eat or else i GAIN weight! Like ALOT! I don’t understand why??? Like recently I ate whatever i wanted to (i normally eat healthy) and i went from 107 pounds to 111!!! thats crazy!!! I don’t get it! And i know that i am not gaining weight from muscle. I have been swimming for 5 years already. Whats wrong? Why do i gain so much weight? I thought i burned it off at swim practice?? I’m really fustrated! i know that i shouldnt be such a health nut, but i can’t help it anyways. Thanks for your time!

its all about burning off what you eat. If your not burning it off then your going to gain weight which is totally normal. Your supposed to be eating healthy, thats how everyone thin person stays thin. No one gets a good body by eating what they want. And yeah ive had people say stuff like “oh you exercise eat whatever you want” too. No, it doesnt work that way at all! Its a lot harder to burn off calories than it seems. so even though your swimming so much, its not going to be able to burn off a big mac and fries plus ice cream (if you know what i mean). Anyways, bottom line is just eat healthy good food and you willbe fine. Dont obsess over it, just be smart about what you put into your body.

Heavy weight training will help you gain a few kilos but you need to allow 6 to 12 months and committ to a couple of sessions a week or life to keep the results.

Im natrually skinny but I was a chubby baby and was full figure untl age 10. You just need to eat healthy and excersise and control yourself and you will lead a healthy life, rather then to smoke to get skinny or go though fad diets.

You don’t! Going on any extreme diet like the following can be damaging to your body, just because Hollywood stars do it, it does not mean it is safe!
You have to get that “diet” image out of your head. You need to rather think in terms of “healthy eating”, and you need to include resistance training / cardio. There is no easy way out. People are always seeking for the magic pill / forumla that will help them lose the weight but this will lead to failure. If you are planning to lose muscle/water, then I suggest you go on the diet (well not really!), but what I am saying is if you don’t care about your health, then by all means go ahead. But if you do, then don’t go on it.
I have attached the following link, which explains how you should lose the fat the right way, though it is basic article, it tells nearly everything you should know. Remember anyone can lose a heap of weight in a short period of time, but you have to ask yourself “How much of it was fat?”. A majority of the time, the answer would probably be “nearly none”.

I’m 6 foot 2 and about 160-162 pounds, and i want to get bigger without putting flab on. Could someone run through a detailed diet in order for me to get bigger. And what type of supplements should i take and how often? Protein shakes? I don’t know much about this stuff so detail would be appreciated.

just eat loads at the ratio of 70% carbs 25 protein , 5 good fats, as much food as possible with those guidelines

I’m 5’7″, 160 lbs, trying to get down to 125-130 lbs.
If you are going to say “don’t take pills”, “no magic pill is recommended for long term weight loss” or “diet and exercise only”, DONT BOTHER WASTING YOUR TIME RESPONDING. I just want some honest, serious responses from people who have had experiences with any of these methods or know people who have. What were the results? Side effects? Time frame of weight loss?
I’m trying to lose weight for a June wedding!

p.s. If you have experience with the Physician’s Weight Loss program, do you have to go in to the center or can you do the program online? When I went for a consultation, the R.N. said I needed to pay $ 100 for my initial visit (after the consultation), then $ 18-20/week + cost of the supplement shakes, soups, bars, etc. which, I figured out, would come to almost $ 400 for 6 weeks – which would allow for a 30-35 lb weight loss.
p.s.s. If you did lose weight with any of these methods, how did you keep it off once you reached your weight loss goal? I’m guessing I’m not expected to stay on these programs forever! And specifically in Physicians, which is centered on a mostly protein diet, how would someone transition back to a normal diet with carbs?

Just try hoodia. It’s all natural and will work better for you and it’s cheaper!!! I used desert burn hoodia and lost 33 pounds and have kept it off for over 3 years now.
