Over the past two days I have averaged the calories that I have eaten and it comes to a total of 953.5 calories. I am 5’2″ and weigh 155 pounds, and I am started a diet and fitness plan to lose weight. How many calories a day should I be eatting in order to acheive this goal?

minimum1200 cal a day. max 1500 cal a day. you need to be taking in enough so your body doesn’t go into starvation mode (i.e fat storage mode) but not too much that your body simply can not use it all and the excess gets stored as fat. it differs from person to person to play around with values in between the numbers i gave you. make sure you are getting your calories from healthy foods only otherwise it won’t work.

O.K. seriously…. It amazes me how little people actually know about this subject. These companies are taking advantage of folks like you…
Here’s what happens. It sounds like the product is a diaretic, hense it makes you use the bathroom a lot. This in turn dehydrates you A LOT and makes you seem like you lost weight. No ma’am. That’s BS. As soon as you drink something or eat your body is going to go into super starvation mode and suck it all up really fast. This will make you actually gain weight.
Here’s a kicker also. If you watch TV and see these retardedly expensive diet supplements on there read the fine print on the screen. It says avg weight loss 3.2 pounds over 8 weeks. Are you shitting me? I can lose 3 pounds in my sleep!
The only way to truly lose weight is diet. Your body will burn 1500-2500 calories a day on its own just keeping you alive. You need to do some walking… drink nothing but water. NOOOOOO SODA!!! AHHHH!!!! ITS FATASS IN A CAN!
I lift weights a lot, and during my training I have to bulk to build mass and then cut to see the results. I can lose 30 pounds in 40 days and have done it several times over the last couple of years.
Drink water, eat nothing but protein, and keep your total calorie intake below 1200. Also do some toning excercises… Crunches, leg lifts, push ups… WIthout tone you still don’t look too great when you are skinny. The best exercise is always going to be running or jogging though… get up to 2 to 3 miles per day and don’t eat much!

Got a fashion show and have to model. I need to look fit by May?
Okay well I am 15 years old and in school we take fashion class where we learn about fashion all year and in the end create a fashion show. I’m going to model so, I need to look fit by then.
I don’t need to lose weight since I’m 5’3 and 112 pounds. I do however want to get rid of the extra fat on my thighs, arm and tummy. I also want to tone them.
I have been eating healthy since I was 14 years old and I still am but have one cheat day in a week. Yes, I eat 5+ vegetables, drink lots of water, take in protein, carbohydrates and fat and try my best to eat around 1500-2000 calories (I don’t like eating much).
I don’t like to exercise outdoors but I do dvd workouts which are REALLY effective. They’re 30+ minutes long and they include cardio workout, strength training and ab workouts.
I have become extra strict with my exercising. I used to exercise 3 times a week but now I made it to 4-5 times and each exercise session is around 30-45 minutes.
If I keep doing this, will I achieve my goals before the fashion show?

How does this exercise/diet plan sound?
5 days per week monday – friday
Work 8am-4pm. Get up at 6:30-7am at work by 8am.
Eat at my desk a light breakfast (I can’t eat much in the morning) 200-400 calories. A cup of coffee with honey NOT sugar and low fat cream.
15 minute break 10am – Power walk 15 minutes then back to work.
30 minute lunch 12pm – Power walk 15 minutes and then eat lunch 300-500 calories. Back to work.
15 minute break 2pm – Power walk 15 minutes. Back to work
4pm off work – Go home and do an intense 20 minute work out with weight training, cardio and abs.
Then play with dogs (more possible exercise in here like walks, running around with them etc.)
6pm make dinner 500-700 calories and relax (watch tv, play on internet etc).
bed time 9-10
Weekends – 20 minute workout (as above), play with dogs and possible hikes/other active activities.
As for food I am not on a certain type of diet. I am trying to stick to the food group chart and eat enough of everything. I try to keep my portions low and unnecessary calories out of my diet. I want to eat about 1200-1500 calories per day.
What do you think? More calories/less calories/different foods? More exercise/less exercise/ different workouts? I am trying to be more active/healthy and get more toned. I work at an office job so its hard to get in enough exercise sometimes.

Is this a good exercise schedule?
Hi everyone,
Just wanted to get some opinions on what I am planning on doing. My goal is lose body fat while building lean muscle. I am 5’3 and weigh 150 lbs. Pant size is 9-11. So while I am not mean to be a tiny girl, I have always been a little “chunky.” I do have big bones and it runs in the family. I am not even going for the sizes really though it would be nice to got down a couple. I am not worried too much about the overall weight either since muscle weighs more than fat. I take pride that I am strong physically and can normally out do most girls. I want to be able to keep up with other people whether its biking or running or just playing football with a group of friends. I also need to build up my lung capicity. Depending on how much muscle I gain, I am probably going to try and lose 15-25 lbs.
Since I am really just starting out on the exercise I wanted to see how this sounded. I have exercises for the muscle groups I am targeting. I am also trying to burn the fat off my belly. I have ab muscles that are pretty strong just can’t see them. You might say I have a six pack in one
but here is my plan:

Cardo – 30 mins (either running or biking) My plan is to eventually run the entire 30 mins.

*go to pool for additional exercise* this also helps work out in soreness in the muscle for me

I am trying to keep my daily calorie count to 1200-1500 and eat lots of whole grains, veggies fruits and lean meats.
If you have any suggestions on recipes for breakfasts dinner lunches desserts (have to treat every now and then
) or even smoothies which I make with all fruit that would be great. I try to keep the calories in each meal around 200-300.

Whats the most effective way to get a six-pack?
IM currently 16, 160lbs, 5’6. I used to weigh 190lbs about 4 months ago. Im really active, no lying, and workout out. But no matter what i do i cant seem to lose the weight on my stomach. I eat well, veggies, proteins, fibers, fruits, etc etc. Id say i eat about 2000-1500 calories a day. I started benching about a month ago and my arms are already bigger/harder and cut with little to no fat. But still, my torso area is “chubby”. I dont know what to DO!!!! I run 6 laps(1mileand1/4) a day, do six sets of stadium stairs, and six sets of these huge hills we have at school everyday. Then i have brazilian jiu jitsu practice for 4 hours, again, everyday!!!!! I cant possibly exercise more AND i cant cut more calories(i need how much i have now for the enrgy for practice). Do i just do regualr sit-ups? I need a detailed list of things to do to lose weight on my stomach. I know that to lose weight on you chest area and pecks, just do pushups and bench. Thanks.
–BTW-
I do 4 sets of 25 crunches before i go to sleep everynight…and nothings changed, need stuff for lats, and lower abdominals, etc. I tryed looking at youtube vids but theres so many vids so i just need the most effective and fastest workout for abs.

How can I get in better shape?
I am 33 years old, height of 5’3″ and weight of around 170. I am also 6 weeks postpartum, meaning I had a baby 6 weeks ago. She is my 4th. My doc gave me the go ahead, and my ab muscles are NOT seperated. Now my question is, what is the best allover workout to burn fat? I eat around 1500-2000 calories a day. How much lower should I take my calories? (I am NOT breastfeeding) I know 3500 calories = 1lb, but what else can i do? I am not looking for a quick fix, I want the weight to stay away, so I aim to lose 1-2 pounds of FAT a week. I have been walking a mile off the on demand on my t.v., it takes about 25 minutes, is this enough, or should i do something else? I dont want to do anything too crazy, and i also have no fitness equipment- not even hand weights!! But I have held water bottles that weigh about a pound for a little resistance. Also how on earth do i make my belly skin not so loose? it is sagging really bad and im afraid it will sag worse if i lose weight. So if there are any nutritionsts or trainers, or just people who know what they are talking about please help!!

Am I over-exercising or under-exercising?
I’m a 21 year old female, current weight 157 lbs, height: 5′ 3″
My BMI is about 28 or so.
Starting working out a month ago at the local YMCA.
I’ve worked my way up to doing alternating upper, lower body strength training every day. Each workout includes 3 sets of 8-12 reps on both the back extension and ab machine.
I do approximately 8,000 lbs total on upper body days and 9,500 lbs total on lower body days.
Keep in mind I use 7 machines per workout including ab machine and back extension. So I do have variety.
Also I ride my bike on level ground 5-10 miles every day. Most days I only do 5 miles. I do 10 miles maybe twice a week.
Five miles takes my about 30 minutes. Ten takes me 60 minutes.
I also do stability ball exercises daily and free weight work at home with dumbells and a straight bar.
I eat 1500-2000 calories per day; however, my goal is simultaneous muscle gain and weight loss.
Am I working my body too much?
I rest from strength training on Sundays. I do ride my bike though…just not as hard on Sundays…more leisurely ride.
I’ve starting eating low-fat this week. Baked chicken breasts, brown rice, plain veggies, sweet potatoes baked no butter, protein shake once a day, fresh fruit.
I only drink water, crystal lite, 0 cal flavored water, and tea sweetened with Splenda.
BTW, I take flax oil, and vitamins everyday.
I don’t believe in multi-vitamins. I take separate pills for everything so that enough of the vitamin gets absorbed.
