I have a question about whole grain rice cakes and low glycemic diets?
I know regular rice cakes are high glycemic, are whole grain brown rice cakes any better????.I love snacking on these things and am a little worried about jacking up my insulin to high during the day.!! Can I eat whole grain ones or not??Will consuming them with protien slow down the insulin spike….Thanks

Whole grain brown rice cakes with natural peanut butter on them are delicious! There’s nothing wrong with them every now and then. Yes combining with protein does minimize insulin release… peanut butter has protein
I personally prefer whole wheat matza with pb on top.
You should be asking a Diabetic Nutritionist these questions.
