Yes. While I was pregnant, I had gestational diabets. I had to watch my sugar intake like a hawk to avoid having to tak insulin shots. Long story short, I lost 12 lbs in the first week alone cuting sugar out of my diet. All the food I ate had low GI. and Every week, I lost weight. It averaged 4 lbs a week. I was thinner after my baby was born then I was before i got pregnant. And it was healthy weight loss. My belly still grew!
Good Luck
I’ve struggled with my weight the last 8 years. I have been insulin dependant for over 20 years. Just of lately I’ve been walking a lot and drinking a cup of green tea at nighht. It helps a lot. I’m slowly starting to lose it and hopefully is stays off. I also take a daily vitamen.
The best known low glycemic diet would be the atkins diet. Studies show that this low carb diet actually helps improve the health of diabetics as well, and has played a roll in normalizing insulin levels within the body.
