Eating Healthy/Correctly:
- Eat from every food group
- Don’t drink soda
- Drink water (about 8 glasses a day)
- Stay in between 1200-2500 calories a day.
- Don’t eat junk food (chips, candy, cake)
- Don’t eat fried food.
- Eat you veggies and fruits.
- Don’t eat too much carbs.
Working Out:
Important to know you can not just target one area of your body you have to work it all off. You can tone up the muscles in a certain area.
- Aerobics
- Cardio (Walking/Jogging/Running)
- Yoga
- Dancing
- Crunches
- Side Lounges
- Side Bends
- Swimming
- Hiking
- Playing sports (Volleyball, Softball)
- Rollerblading
- Riding a bike
Other tips:
- Don’t sit on the couch all day
- Take vitamins if you are not going to eat correctly
- Don’t go on the scale every day, every week is just fine.
- Muscle weigh mores then fat.
- Keep a food diary.
- Losing weight takes time and effort!

Try doing lots of crunches will help you get abs, but keep in mind that your stomach may have muscles and be toned. Also, for your legs, do a lot of lunges. And don’t drink soda because the sodium will retain water weight. Plus, walk or run 4 times a week for 30 minutes. Try to also eat around 1500 calories drink lots of water eat lots of veggies and try not to eat junk food. And remember to stay motivated. Blast your favorite song on your ipod or cd player while you work out. You’ll be amazed at how it keeps you motivated.
Just track the calories in the foods you eat every day, and make sure you’re eating 500 calories less per day than what you’re burning through exercise.
