How many calories should I consume per day to lose weight?
I am 15 years old, 5’6”, and weigh 117 lbs. That’s a bmi of 19. I know that sounds healthy and all, but I am basically flat chested, so my thighs have a lot of extra weight. What kind of exercises should I be doing, and how many calories should I consume to lose weight?

For a 15 year old female, at 5’6″, you’d need to be at around 125- 135 lbs to be healthy.

You still need to be at the usual 2,000 calories/day.
(For you, daily:
2,000 calories would keep you at the same weight you’re at now.
2,500 would cause weight gain.
1,800 would start weight loss
1,500 or less would cause you to go into a coma.)
You just want to tone your muscles. (Which I doubt you even need, but if it makes you feel better, then why not?)
Do different leg workouts. You can start going for runs. Take your ipod or a friend to chat with. Biking is also great for upper leg muscles. Or start walking on a treadmill if you don’t like the outoors.
You can also google different upper leg workouts to do at home, because I’m totally drawing a blank right now, haha.
