Some guy reckons he did and it worked for him.
Actually its really good its more effective than carb counting or fat counting…it prevents you from eating a lot of crap and if you exercise too you’ll be sure to see results..i do it all the time when i want to drop a few pounds
its all well and good to say eat a balanced diet, but counting calories will keep you on track.
if you write down, or use caloriecounting websites (calorieking) you can fif out where you are going wrong. i use calorieking.com.au and im not even tryna lose weight
It works for some people. For others, it makes eating too stressful when you think about each calorie. It’s good from the perspective that it gives you an idea of how much you should be eating.
Many diets out there are calorie based. Really that’s the science behind all diets. Low carb diets even work out to be calorie based when you think about it. The reason low carb diets work is that it helps you balance your hunger so you don’t eat as much, so you take in less calories.
So, calories are the basis of all diets. It’s just a matter of finding what works for you. Personally, I read calorie counts and roughly know what I need, but could never actually diet that way. I use a low carb(good carb) plan when I am trying to lose weight.
counting calories makes people more obsessed with food in my opinion. the basic rule is that the energy you put in has to be less than the energy you put out. if you’re not exercising then you can’t eat lots of calories. but rather than worry about calories, just eat lots of fresh vegetables (not much potatoes , pasta or rice) some fruit (about 3 -5 pieces a day, 2 serves of low fat meat and no oils. drink 5-8 glasses of water especially before meals to help you feel full. your body will only burn the fat it has stored if you have already burnt the energy you have consumed. this diet must be maintained for a few weeks for good results. good luck
