Your Burn Rate is simply the difference between your caloric intake and your caloric output. there are several devices on the market to help you figure it. But it sounds like you may already have one. One way that you can burn more calories jogging is to sprint then jog and sprint then jog. Just speeding up to a faster jog will not do it. the body starts to burn the calorie more efficiently at a sustained speed. Sprinting causes the body to burn more and continue to burn at that same rate as you slow back down. Much the same as stopping and starting or speed up to pass does not burn fuel in the automobile efficiently.
