What exercises can you do to tone your lower abs?

Leg lifts… on your back lift your legs up and down
lay on your back and keep your feet together, 6 inches from the ground & move about 2 inches up and down.
leg lifts, scissor kicks… which are pretty much leg lifts but you can do those faster
Crunches. High kicking. Running.

That is a hard spot for virtually everyone. The reason crunches don’t work is because the focus on you r middle abdominals. Personally, I don’t do this exercise becasue it aggrivates a bone spur in my back , but if you do a reversre crunch, you lie on the floor, lift up your legs about a half foot off the ground and slightly bent at the knees, and bring your knees “into” your chest or as far “into” your chest that you can without any pain. You should feel a good burn in your abdominal area. Also, the scissor kick. Both are shown on the website below.

Pilates is the best. See if you can get in a Pilates class, or get a book or DVD on it. It is really important to have strength in your abs.
