What can I do to feel my best during my workout?

I run on a treadmill for my workout…

Some days when I workout, I feel fantastic and I sweat like crazy but I feel like I could run forever. Other days, I get sharp pains in my abdomen (cramps), a dry sore throat, dizziness, and I feel like I’m going to die!!

What can I do to make sure that I will not have cramps or dizziness during my workout?

First off, make sure that you’re sufficiently hydrated. If not, that’s what could be giving you cramps and a dry throat. Secondly, pace yourself. When you work out you should have a method to what you do. If you hit the weights, pay attention to how many sets you do and what weight you use. Be consistent with what you do from day-to-day, adding or subtracting only a little from your workout. Also, if you do cardio, be sure to time yourself so that, again, you’re consistent in what you do instead of running until you feel like dropping.

There are other possible factors as well, such as diet and how well you slept the night before.
