If you have never given your lowerback and sides a chance to rest and recover then this is most likely to be the case. When you work a muscle or muscle group insensely they should realistically be allowed 3-4 days to recover.
Yes you may be able to work them, however without been rested, you are just holding yourself back progress wise, so be sure to allow them to get a good few days rest before you work them again. I would consider having a couple days rest and waiting until Tuesday until you have your next workout.
And remember, your lower back and abdominals work hand in hand. If one is stronger than the other, then the other can often ache. For example strong abdominals can often leave the lower back in pain or aching, even if the exercise you are performing is an adbominal exercise.
Have a good 48 hours rest and allow your muscles time to heal and recover.

First of all, give yourself a week of recovery time and don’t do anything. You can set yourself up for a repetitve-stress injury if you work out with too much of a monomaniacal drive instead of a long-term outlook.
You can do hanging ab exercises that are very easy on the lower back. Hang from something, or support yourself between two chairs (or use the ab straps that are sold everywhere) and just raise your knees to your chest. Alter the path your knees take and you can work on rotational abs too. Do hanging side crunches for the obliques.
Good Luck.
