Gaining muscle in the arms?

How long does it take to build however much muscle (just rough estimates….Like, say I wanted to put on 2-3 inches on my arms, maybe 4-5 (which i know will take longer). I go to the gym every single day, do the elyptical/boat rowing machine/treadmill on my “off days” which is taking it easier, then on my “on days” I use the ab machine and the bar that you pull down when ur sitting. Both at 90 lbs. Ab- usually 110-120 reps, and the arm machine usually 25ish. Im pretty new to going to the gym on a regular basis. So I was just wondering how long it usually takes to build that much muscle, even with stepping it up every few days by doing more. And, anyone got any advice or new exercises i can do at home excluding sit ups?
