Is there anything that can be substituted for eggs in Phase 1 of the South Beach Diet?
I’ve tried the diet in July of last year with amazing results. I went from 190 to 160 since then, and I’ve been able to keep the weight off! I’m asking for a friend who would like to try South Beach but doesn’t like to eat eggs at all…. Is there any substitutes in her case?


You could try peanuts. They have protein like eggs and they fill you up fast.
bacon
cottage cheese….
Anything with a lot of protein.
A soy bean product, meat, tofu.
low fat cheese or meats. I love to take a thin slice of ham with low fat cream cheese (flavored if desired, like the garden vegetable or garlic and chive) and wrap around a pickle.
