Well thank you for your sweet words and your advice! I do love the privacy of doing workouts at home… but I also like to venture out to a gym or the trails just to switch it up. It’s nice to breathe some fresh air and interact with other humans once in a while.
I’ve been doing power walking with some intervals of jogging and that’s better than straight running. It’s also a lot easier to eat fresh and light this time of year, so that helps too.

you know, you should really look into a low impact trainer. its easy on the knees but gives you that cardio you’re after. you can probably find a used one for on the cheap. if you’re like me, bustin ur butt in a gym or runnin down the road isnt really all that appealing of an idea, lol. i like the privacy of p90x!

I’m going to start with running soon… I ran a little over the weekend (and it did hurt the knees.) I have new shoes so I hope that will help.

You should run. Start out with a mile and go slow. If your knees hurt it’s likely a shoe problem. Different types of feet need different shoes. Running isn’t the most fun but after a long run you really feel good. Run somewhere that gives you stuff to look at and it will be easier. I just ordered P90X and I punched it in youtube to see what’s on here about it, which is how I found your vids. Glad to hear of your success!

I actually DO feel really comfortable sharing my fitness ups and downs now… I was very nervous and kind of awkward when I first started recording videos. It makes me happy to know that they are helpful to people!

I still do a lot of the P90X workouts, don’t get me wrong! I do Kenpo, Cardio X, and Kenpo Cardio+ quite often. I really need to start doing Ab Ripper again too- my midsection is getting out of control once again.
Just because I’m not doing the program as a whole doesn’t mean that I’m not bringin’ it!

I definitely have to do something about my knees… I’m going to get one (maybe two) knee braces to help support the kneecap area- they are supposed to really help. Thanks for the reading suggestion too- I’ll have to check that out.
I’ve also heard nothing but good stuff about the Nike+ system.
Wii is awesome!!! The boxing is a lot of fun. I’m totally addicted to DDR too- I’ve already unlocked everything in the game.

I remember the first night I got my wii. I played boxing for about 2 hours and I was SOOOO sore the next day. Glad things are going well your way! I am just starting to run too. If you’re having knee problems, u might want to check out the book Chi Running by Danny Dreyer. I started using some of his advice, and my knees are doing a lot better already. Also, if you have an Ipod, might wanna look into the Nike+ system. Its a pretty cool motivator. Take care hun!
