Why does my heart beat faster while doing the Atkins diet?
I only have carbs for breakfast and the rest of the day is only meat. So far I have lost a lot of weight but had a question. I noticed my heart beats faster on the atkins diet. Its like my body is using more energy then it ever was or something.
Who knows why this happens?
thanks

You’re not supposed to consume “only meat” while on the atkins diet–that can severely increase your HDL/LDL levels. You are supposed to incoporate veggies that have low impact on the glycemic scale, such as dark green leafy veggies, cauliflowers, zuccini, aparagus, green peas, sugar snap peas, etc. You’re trying to process too much fat, and that must be wreaking havoc on your intestines D:
becaus it has to do with the sugars in your blood and if you do not have enough of them to support you yourr heart will have to work harder inorter to keep u alive
Because you are putting your heart under alot of strain, it will backfire…
I have found that I have alot more energy and from what the books say, and why your loosing weight; is due to your body burning fat for energ and fuel. The more fat, the more energy you have to burn. Since your have rid your body of simple sugars (which drags you down) then it gives you more energy as well. However, if your heartbeat seems irregular, you should have it checked out by the doctor. Higher energy and irregular heart beat isn’t one in the same.
