If I want to do the atkins diet, what type of meals can I eat that are filling?
I eat so many carbs, but I need to lose some weight seriously and I’ve been told that its because of all the carbs I eat. What can I eat in large quantities that are either no carbs or low carbs?
Oh and I would work out much more, but I have two jobs and am in school full time so I’m really left with no free time. It’s not that I’m too lazy, its just lack of time

hi miss brittany!
well, there are some really creative recipes out there if you are planning on going low carb. you can be very creative with quiches and omlettes, breadless sandwhiches and burgers and hot dogs, salads with lean chicken or beef. you can also stick to tried and true…. veggies and a lean meat like turkey, or some steak. you can go to http://www.atkins.com for great ideas and tips.
i should remind you though that losing weight is SOLELY based on eating less calories than you expend. the atkins diet essentially works because you eat such heavy foods, that you naturally will eat fewer cals. it also can initally help speed your metabolism. please know that one pound is equal to 3500 calories. so cut 3500 calories out of your normal diet, and for every 3500 cals you cut out, you will have lost one pound! talk to your doctor if you need more guidance =)
all my best!
