I started the Atkins diet, this is my second day on it. I do have a copy of the allowed food list but still ?
have some concerns! Is the Atkins shake and bars allowed in the induction phase? And how much cheese can I eat? I really want to succeed at this one(I have failed at others in the past) I appreciate any additional help and advice for the Atkins diet only, I am not interested in any other diets at this point. Thanks.

Shakes and bars are not allowed. I am currently doing induction and have deviated with 1 item to enjoy as a snack: Jello sugar-free gelatin snacks (zero carbs). But that’s it. As far as cheese goes, I limit cheese to 1 oz every other day. I find that mozzarella string cheese is pretty good (0.6 carbs).
I suggest you pick up Dr. Atkins New Diet Revolution from the library if you don’t already have the book. I am on chapter 17. Dr. Atkins gives many good tips on how to deal with food temptations.
